A new pop-up themed dinner is coming to Calgary in 2020
In 2017, we imagined an event that would change the local food scene and introduce an innovative pop-up dining concept to Calgary foodies. Lead by our award-winning Executive chef Daryl Kerr, our team at Great Events Group hosted Foodies in the Park, an exploration into the artistry of ingredients.
With seven creative gourmet stations each highlighting a local ingredient in various recipes and tastes, the event was a celebration of food and creativity that left our guests raving about it. This was naturally followed by national and international recognition, with nominations and wins in some of the most prestigious industry awards the following year.
This year, we decided to continue the success story and transform Foodies in the Park into a series of pop up dining events. Hosted in a unique dome set up in the heart of Fish Creek Park, the event will offer the ultimate gastronomic experience that connects food with nature and creativity. With each series featuring a new theme, guests will enjoy an elaborate four-course menu in the extravagant decor designed for each dome.
Partnering with our sister company Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant, we are proud to present “Dine in Wonderland” as our Spring 2020 edition. Hosted in translucent garden domes situated in the heart of Fish Creek Provincial Park and boasting a decor and menu Inspired by Lewis Carroll’s novel – Wonderland is an enchanted set-up that transforms fine dining into a fascinating culinary performance.
